That was a phrase that used to irritate me to no end.
Good thing this woman wasn't a JW. Some people just can't wait.

to all current jehovah's witnesses:.
the "report" book (written october 1994) on page 201, made the following startling prediction about all jehovah's witnesses and their future relationship with the governing body by saying: .
“...and so, the watchtower magazine under the present-day governing body arrangement, is placed on the same level, given parity and equal status, with god’s word.
Hi johnamos,
Perhaps I should have clarified a "textus receptus" basis for that scripture. Millions and millions of Christians have done their research and only accept the textus receptus on matters of doctrine. This was the bible for over 300 years of Reformation and when Christianity and grew by leaps and bounds.
This was of course replaced by the critical text of Wescott & Hort (1888) who rejected common sense and were also involved in spiritualism during the "translation years". Their translation relied heavily on Vaticanus and Sinaiticus which were written over and over again by at least 5 different scribes, making the original writing impossible to discern.
Most people are unaware that about 65% of all new testament verses are quoted in the early Christian congregation writings (during the first 300 or so years), mostly by the leaders who were writing each other. One of the main reasons they wrote each other was to defend sound doctrine against errors introduced by troublesome individuals. In these writings, they name names and unacceptable teachings, making it relatively easy for someone to research now what was common belief in the years immediately following the resurrection, and who was responsible for the deviations.
For instance:
Ignatius
Ignatius was an apostolic congregation leader. In other words, he was someone who had received his instruction straight from one of the apostles.... In this case the apostle John. He was presiding overseer in Antioch, which is where believers were first called "Christians". At the end of his life, he was thrown to lions in the Colosseum in Rome.
Here is a quote from him:
"For some are in the habit of carrying about the name [of Jesus Christ] in wicked guile, while yet they practice things unworthy of God, whom you must flee as you would wild beasts. For they are ravening dogs, who bite secretly, against whom you must be on your guard, inasmuch as they are men who can scarcely be cured. There is one Physician who is possessed both of flesh and spirit; both made and not made; God existing in flesh; true life in death; both of Mary and of God; first passible and then impassible — even Jesus Christ our Lord."
Other testimonies regarding 1 Tim. 3: 16:
Gregory of Nyssa33 quotes the text 22 times using “God” and not “who” or “which”.
Gregory of Nazianzus gives “God” twice.
Didimus of Alexandria cites it with “God” three times.
Pseudo-Dionysius of Alexandria quotes the passage with the word “God” four times.
Diodorus of Tarsus cites it with “God” five times.
John Chrysostom cites it with “God” and not “who” at least three times.
We find
this same referral to the text always with “God” and not with “who” in Cyril of Alexandria

Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses, ...and which became fully operational January 1, 1976, to become “a god” or the “man of lawlessness” spoken of at 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 which wickedly dominates God’s Name People, mystery “Israel.”
God's name people? They are called Christians. JW's don't like the fact that the name of JESUS is the highest name in the universe.
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory - 1 Tim. 3: 16
the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow - Phil 2: 9-10
The GB are lost leaders guiding a lost people.
sorry for the grammar and spelling errors if any..(me 29 raised in the org) (gf 25 not raised) just left her at the hospital with (call her sara).. sara had just ingested half a bottle of her antidepressant pill and half a bottle of melatonin.
this took place after a discussion we where having about a recent event that took place.
long story short, sara told me she slept with my best friend/coworker(call him tim) after a argument we had, the morning after it supposedly happened.. i was pretty torn but i was maintaining and i even thought sara was lying because tim was such a good friend.
Many if not most JW's who were raised in the "truth" have no idea what love is because of the mechanical character of relationships in the JW family and at the KH. As a result, after they leave many get involved in abusive relationships that lack mature love based on respect because it doesn't feel foreign to them.
You are likely co-dependent, which is described as sacrificing (a very large portion) of your quality of life for that of another. Leading up to this event, you likely saw many things this girl displayed that were troublesome, but ignored it....just as you were trained to do to try and preserve relationships in the cult.
You should seek help yourself and learn to make choices based on truth, reality & goals and not feelings.
Sorry if this sounds "preachy". Its just my take.
my husband and i were discussing the rally cry shortly before 1975, stay alive in 75 (1975), some here believe that the end might come in 2034 (some tongue in cheek) counting 120 years from 1914 the same internal between when god supposedly pronounced judgment on the people on the earth before the flood would come.. so it could be, no more after 34. i thought it was good and funny at the same time..
That's funny Blondie.
Here's a few more:
"We Will Score in '34"
"You Won't be Poor in '34"
"No More Whore in '34"
"Get in the Door by '34"
"Free Houses Galore in '34"
"Work no More in '34"
"Survive the Uproar in '34"
"Free Scotch in Store after '34"
i do bible study and attend meetings.
”well i was away and i was going to attend in that city”.
i did everything right, i told my bible study conductors in advance and genuinely i wanted to see another hall.
”I didn’t see you. So important to attend meetings. Satan will try to get back in if you don’t”
Welcome to the wacky world of watchtower paranoia, guilt trips & hypocrisy:
xx
The bible teaches a lot about the "freedom in Christ" that anyone can enjoy without coming under the yoke of rule-makers. People who love freedom will naturally want to learn more about that. Others just want to be told what to do and so must suffer the consequences of others' errors, since they refuse to make wise choices on their own. Still others find some mental place to hide.
There are a lot of "hiding places" in this life. The JW sect isn't the only one.
paul teaches through many of his writings using terms like justification, redemption, atonement etc.
that gentiles are not only forgiven of sin both past and present but even their conscience is clean of such actions.
how do the jw teachings get around all these scriptures and pauline books in the bible that clearly teach this???
How do the JW teachings get around all these scriptures and Pauline books in the Bible that clearly teach this???
Simple. The Watchtower has convinced the vast majority of their membership that the New Covenant isn't for "forgiveness of sins" as clearly stated in Mt. 26: 27 & 28. (They teach it is ONLY for Government positions in the kingdom)
Once they convince a person of this, it is then easy to simply state that the bible ONLY applies to the anointed (meaning NOT YOU)
One of the most bizarre and utterly heretical WT teachings is that the entire NEW TESTAMENT does not apply to the average bible reader (a "whosoever").
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already - John 3
In other words, only the WT leaders get to receive God's free gift of salvation - in between trips to the liquor store of course. Everybody else has to work for it. And then only, "probably" you may get eternal life.
How nice.
on may 6th, 2019 watch tower attorney paul polidoro faced off against anonymous reddit user darkspilver, represented by eff, the electronic frontier foundation.. link to youtube video with audio from may 6th hearing:.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wzopjmzfco&feature=youtu.be.
polidoro, noted for his appearance in the supreme court case of watchtower versus stratton ohio, now represents watch tower of pennsylvania in their efforts to flush out the inside leak sources of documents, videos and images.. these documents and other sensitive information have been leaked to the public and reposted by dozens of individuals since 2017. watch tower is deeply concerned about the internal moles leaking this information, since much of it has been used by whistleblowers to reveal watch tower's private internal policies and procedures.. included in the leaks are publisher id and records management materials which reveal the extent of jehovah's witness data collection and management prodedures, including the destruction of documents.. jehovah's witnesses have come under intense scrutiny for their failure to report child abuse across the globe, not only in mandatory reporting states, but in every location where clergy members are not required to report.. the dangerous policies of the jehovah's witness organization have resulted in a significant movement among current and former members to expose the organization and force transparency.. current members with high-level access to watch tower documents have risked expulsion and legal recourse for their efforts.. the electronic frontier foundation's attorney alex moss represented the unidentified darkspilver redditor in defense of the motion to quash watch tower's subpoena to unmask his identity.. listen closely as both sides make their case, and the judge seeks to understand the issues involved.. freedom of speech versus alleged copyright infringement- you be the judge.
Page 8 of the Watchtower's response to the Motion to Quash:
Watch Tower is not Darkspilver’s local church and has no ability to excommunicate him from his local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
That is utter horse manure. The Watchtower is identified and taught to be God's mouthpiece on earth! This is just an outright LIE. The attorney who wrote that is the lowest scum on earth. He knows he is being totally untruthful.
Their day of reckoning is coming. This non-sense will end one way or another.
i always tended to avoid using the word 'cult' to describe jehovah's witnesses.
instead, i preferred referring to them as a 'high control group'.
however, having watched the shocking and bizarre behaviour by so called jehovah's witness elders toward eric wilson (borean pickets), this now confirms beyond any doubt in my mind that the watchtower organisation is nothing more than a cult.. i would seriously encourage everyone to watch the video in it's entirety and see how truly cultlike they are.. my jaw still hitting the floor 😮.
The Watchtower has become an out-of-control religious monstrosity run by alcoholics that is truly reminiscent of the middle ages where burnings of "heretics" were common place. They traffic in destroyed families and social homicides instead of stake burnings.... Modern day legal hit-jobs designed to protect their totalitarian regime.
They seduce parents into permanently abandoning their non-believing children the same as the Canaanites (and some Israelites) did to their children in the fires of Molech.
I pray every night for God to utterly destroy them and to get as many people safely out as possible.
have any of you just had a recent circuit overseer visit?
we have him this week and his opening night was a doozy.
his whole talk focused on persecution.
The theme of the talk was something like Satan will have no success against us.
I don't think Satan is the one causing their demise. You can only deceive, cheat and abuse so many people before critical mass is reached.
Welcome to Critical Mass (what took us so long?)
